IRRESISTIBLE CALL

Its distance is a mere hair’s breadth,

slightest breath of a longed-for breeze

or yawning expanse of a far-off universe;

the heart and soul journey there barefoot,

crossing worlds in an instant, crushing

scent-laden camomile and stems of blue

grass in fields of wide awakening,

stirring early morning dewdrop webs

whose shimmer is the psalm,

the open, offered palm of love

that simply whispers, come.

Spiritual yearning and belief still persists despite scientific rationalism and all evidence to the contrary.

We are star stuff. I am only waiting for his call.

Gitanjali, The Bible, the Koran, all the sacred books testify that

humans have a grain of truth and a shaft of light in their soul.

His grace is with you in every line Kate. All we have to do is listen and follow Him whereever He may lead us. His call for us to come home is irresistible indeed. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always and at your side constantly. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Kate, love is a special journey we make on our own. For a voyage of the heart always plies uncharted waters. It beckons with the warmth of the rising sun. This thing, you have said is a song with a unique melody my dear friend. I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael

Love all the facets in these descriptive lines. And such a lovely internal rhythm in this piece. Those two, simple lines in the end are just perfect and leave a lasting image.

Spiritually magnetic, Kate,
the draw of your thoughts and words..
and how far or how near is just a measure
and really doesn't matter in the real scheme of things.

Miss Kate, we are on the same wavelength, yes those whispers for love to come, I can hear them all the way over here.
Love this tender and poetic piece...Off to the shore for the evening, doing a love meditation on the beach tonight, my shore looks at Long Island and the lights over there in the evening all so magical...

Much peace, love and light,

Intriguing bit of writing, Kate.

The hair's breath
can only be the
kiss of the everlasting
upon your lips. A
physical reality
in the raw, i.e.,
barefootin' into
your soul of awakening
the majestic psalm of love
steady as you go
without discombobulation.
