WE ARE SAILING
Tossing aside Rod Stewart,
it was that Old Salt growler,
John Martyn, whose vinyl we
launched on the wobbly deck
and watched, head-in-hands,
as the tiny needle’s silver sail
rode black sea’s idle waves,
nearing the palm in the middle.
By the time its bddum was
rhythmically repeating, beached
on the label’s Island shores,
we were breakers rolling in,
lungeing white horses in
mane-tossed sun who,
on Solid Air, were surfing,
surging, surfing…
About halfway down I said,
"This is so linguistically flowery and descriptive,
it sounds like something Kate would do,"
and sure enough,
It was you.
Love it.
Walt
you just made me smile so big...
Ron
... now where did i put those spare needles; time
to launch some vinyl! ;-)
well done,
carolyn
just a lovely capture and so visual
as well as aural.
Good one, Kate.
John
a magical, mysterious, move me on the water as you rock my soul to sleep
and make me want to prove
what sweet company you keep.
From one old soul to another,
this is one fine sweet old mother.

Love this one!
Hey, surfing, surging, surfing... ...sunk? better not be. keep on keeping on, you make nearing the 60's more like the 30's ;) luvs yer really, my crazy, eccentric, posh pal. xx I guess Rod is now a record breaker.
your other poems, to me it sounds like a dreamy
fantasy.
Always,
Deborah
Much peace, love and light,
