My dog pricks her ears
lifts her head
My friend at the door
sad face through leaded panes
I open before she knocks
My dog rises, shakes, wags her tail
My friend falls inside
her shoulders shuddering
her sobbing silent
My dog rushes up
excited with greeting
My friend droops and ebbs
I extend one arm to comfort
one to constrain
Pressure on my heart

A good poem but because of Ginsberg's poem perhaps a new title? It was the first thing I thought of taking away from your work.
