We start this journey on a cloudy day
Windshield wipers flick off the soothing rain pellets.
Mist clouds the road's path.

I stared off into space
White stripes stretch longer with each passing hour
While the trees linger in the window before being replace with the next one.
Marker 164
We drive to the soft drops of rain
Trying to ignore the static
Enjoying our talks as we take
Road after road
Marker 225
Remembering the time we got lost here
And ate at the diner there
Marker 308
Wishing to go back in time
Just to enjoy moments like these some more
Marker 377
But "time flies when having fun"
Marker 500
Until the day comes when all you can think about were the markers.

Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
