Gently snowflakes float to the ground
The wind is still, there isn't a sound
Not even a blue jay looking for seeds
A soft white blanket covers the reeds
I gaze at this soothing, simple, scene
Mother Nature at its most serene
You magically my thoughts invade
As I sit pondering in this glade
Once we walked this magical place
As snow took earth in its embrace
We stopped and kissed, not a word was said
None was needed as we walked ahead
Enveloped in Love's warm, tender, glow
It did not matter-sleet or snow.
How Time moves on! And does not stay
Not for a moment, much less for a day
And like Time, you too moved on
But the memory of that Day's not gone
So, often when it snows like this
The mind revives that day of bliss
A warm tear punctuates my smile
I hope this snowfall stays awhile.
A most touching ,wistful and well written poem…
You combine the elements of Nature
and the memory of a special love
so skilfully…and heart touchingly…
Well done…
Beautifully rendered, my friend. There are many places which worm lovers heart, even after they are no longer together. The memories remain . . . forever.
You combine the elements of Nature
and the memory of a special love
so skilfully…and heart touchingly…
Well done…
