Lingering in the darkness
Just beyond my sight
This vision of heaven
That wasn't quite right.
With the face of an angel,
And the body of a God,
He beckoned for me
With a wave and a nod.
I felt myself go;
I couldn't resist.
I saw myself drawn
To his gentle kiss.
I went to new heights
Where I've never been.
Looking back now,
I knew I had sinned.
My Father before me
Can't know me that well
From this angelic face
To a demon from hell.
