Alaska offers much to the professional as well as the amateur photographer. With much beauty to offer the outdoor enthusiast. I found myself amazed at the wonders of this great state and have enjoyed sharing it with you through my photography as well as prose.

Sitting in the silence of the fresh mountain dew,
I was astounded when I first spied you,
watching you sun in the morning sunshine,
a precious moment to stay in my heart and in my mind.
Oh, so many would love to come upon this great sight!
Others would see you and run in great fright!
Beautiful grizzly, King of the tundra,
you depict Alaska's ancient wonders!
Just to walk across this great land,
so rustic and beautiful and not concurred by man,
and then to see the natural side of the grizzly,
makes the surroundings seem just like they should be!
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
