Poem Artwork

I hide in a box in the corner of my mind
Octagon in shape my life peers behind
Dust bunnies hop happily by sad and blind
All I know is I grab hands full of past time

Grey matter bruised by angers harmful descent
Reminding me of harms in days past spent
Abuses of word’s flout by my eyes who relent
Hoping still that all abusers soon will repent

Haunted still I hide in this corner not seen
Wish upon wish, my entire dirt lay unclean
Sometimes I go forth thinking all is a dream
Then slapped by a stranger aches again deem

So

I hide in this box in the corner of my mind
Octagon in shape my life peers behind
Dust bunnies hop happily by sad and blind
All I know is I grab hands full of past time

Theresa, this is an exceptionally well-penned composition illustrating the complexities of the human spirit in its sacred quest to find liberation and renewal through others knowing that their contributions in life need to be filled with harmony, not animosity. Stunning write, and the artwork is fantastic. Thank you for sharing your gift. Take care.
