Eve of the Winter Solstice is here Alaskan's get prepared Sun enters sign of Capricorn The darkness does begin Here up in Alaska the party has begun Capricornus in the stars carries winter in Taking the light from off our land Celebrations sliding in. Officially kicking off the winter With the shortest day of the year Ice sculptor's busy with artistic flair Place their sculptures here and there The ice skaters here do scream it out The fearful just will not come out Winter celebrations are about to start Eve of the Winter Solstice is here Seen out on a very clear night Star cluster in the sky tonight Nestled between Sagittarius and Aquarius Capricornus brings it in Lights hang all about the town There is no natural light on our land now What will we all do now? Let the CELEBRATIONS begin We'll welcome Winter Solstice in The parties do begin! Alaskan's are honoring The Winter Solstice again
