Some thoughts about our lives on planet Earth...

Poem Artwork

The world that we know,

imperfect and flawed,

is not a place for the weak.

With each gust of wind,

with each bomb that’s dropped,

with each hungry child who cries out for food,

it is churned,

and enraged,

immersed in despair.

Yet in spite of clichés,

dry repartee,

a heightened conviction

of a planet gone mad,

Comes the sunrise,

the sunset,

a rainbow’s bright hues,

woven through mist

by a Heavenly Hand…

An assurance, a promise

not all will be angst,

not all will fall short,

not all will end in heartache, regret…

That the world we know

imperfect, and flawed

still belongs

to the Master of Love…

Nice work! It flows directly from your soul to the paper. I enjoyed it very much and will read more of your poetry.

This piece reveals alot about your character. You have to be a very resilient optimist by choice. I appreciated the concise way you expressed yourself. One can only be concise when they have worked their way through alot of painful emotions to be able to speak it so clearly. Wonderful flow to your work as well that made it easy to read- not awkward or forced. Very nice.

Each day is a new opportunity to do what you have never dared to do. It is a fresh start and a new light on an old situation. This is a very positive and uplifting write, Michelle. Immaculately penned.
Take care,
Sherry

That was magic: you wove these clichés into a fine original tapestry. A true poem and a spiritual one.
