Since you are an artist rather than a painter of words, I see your point. If your brain does not conjure up a poem or story, your instrument, in this case, an HB pencil, then you can't produce and it's better just to go back reacting to what others have written.
To be frank, I enjoy writing much better than commenting. But I find that it's better for me to try to cheer up writers by commenting even if their work does not inspire me like yours does.

Yes, weight comes in many forms and as you've said here, it takes a strong manifest to secure a word's place on the page, in the book, in our memories. To remember, for some of us, becomes a heavy lift as we age. Still, there are some words that are just waiting to be absorbed to make our day feel fulfilled. Thank you for posting.
