And then there comes a time to just let go.

Poem Artwork

 So early morning it is

Light unshadowing trees

Out the window they

Stand — they just be while

Behind glass window

Nut brown coffee

Taste of Mrs. Folgers

Shriveled ferns in vase

Like this old lady’s face

And the isness of me

So long in this swirling world

Changing too fast

Under my ragged feet and

I’ve said all there is to say

Now sitting in my repetitiveness,

The old ways, the old days

Let go like yellowing leaves.

Letting go is my mantra Diana…
And your words say it beautifully…
“…in this swirling world
Changing too fast”…
Where All has been said and done,,,
there is such peace and tranquility
in simply just ..letting go…

I love this poem…

My best wishes always ( the other) Diana…🌿

Love the image (and sentiment) of the yellowing leaves, so appropriate as we move into seasonal autumn days of transition.

The lifecycle of northern nature happens once a year. From your poem I gather it also happens during a lifecycle of us. If you took that picture, what a lovely view you have in your backyard.

Ours is green nearly year-round, and until the occasional year when we have a freeze and everything turns a bleak yellow defeated color until 2 or 3 months later green shoots start to appear and the jungle startle over again.

It's hard to let go. But let go we must. In our own pace of course. These things can't be pushed. Beautifully woven together.
