Along The Way

Pain, suffering, despair, agony
Violence, torture, lives destroyed
People living with lack of value
People suffering with no choice
All the things that I believe in
All the morals by which I was raised
In the paper, they are hidden
The worlds displeasure headlines praise
Please remember my good people
Life's too short to dwell on bad
So much good these days before us
The happy things we do forget
The sun keeps rising, the birds keep flying
Babies born, and flowers grow
Volunteers and good samaritans
In our world they do abode
Recognize the good around you
Cherish every pleasant day
Share your love with those around you
Thanking those along the way.

Anne, wonderful write. Sometimes we all need a little push. We tend to forget what is most important in life and dwell on the worst part of it.

"Life's too short to dwell on bad". Yes we, like life, must go on.
Good admonition Anne.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
