Whether solicited or not, words spoken in gentle kindness can make a difference - even, and perhaps, especially, when the listener doesn't want to hear.
I suspect you may be way more influential than you know.
There may be a delayed reaction, even years, but when somebody bothers to say the right thing...I think it matters.
And I always say I feel less sorry for those who waste their love than those who love is wasted on.
