For Dani...

Poem Artwork

She tries with maximum effort

Yet nothing seems to go right

Intelligence and persistence

Are just not enough

The system and people

Just make it too tough

She works for her babies

And studies in school

Struggles with the ex-boyfriend

Still keeping her cool

All on her own

Struggles just to survive

But still remains gracious

And cherishes life

I wish I could help her

I wish she could see

That the way things appear now

Will not always be

This poem gives a aesthetic effect and appeal beyond mere technical proficiency, I love your form, and the style as well as the subject matter, I love the effective use of your phrase;
She tries with maximum effort; Yet nothing seems to go right
Intelligence and persistence;
Are just not enough the system and people
Just make it too tough.

The command of form and your cohesiveness keeps your readers attention, continue the good work.

Nice rhymes.The poem is touching because you wrote it for someone close to you.The writing is sincere and depicts what women have to do to survive.anne Pawlak.

Thankfully, "this too will pass" ever endures. Nicely expressed message.

I'm thankful she has you to care and encourage her. It's true
if she could only know that things won't always be this way.
They can change for the better. I pray they will!
