Secretly you read between the lines Searching for what isn't there Or is it Perhaps camouflaged or blanketed Only to reveal itself to a certain few Determined to find But frightened to discover Jealousy clouds clarity Your endless pursuit of answers Seeking that which does not exist Clever you are not Paths can be traced Leading back to the confines Of the cave in which you hide Shadows cannot protect you Come forth with courage To face the truth Fabricate no more lines Ask questions Even ones who's answers You prefer not to hear Between the lines is merely empty space Only words will console you Finally ending infinite searches Revealing all
a good poem doesn't leave any empty spaces rather it invites the reader into the variable possibilites of its message, the crux of which is what you have concluded with in this poem ...
