Hold me even closer
Soothe my raging fears
Whisper words of comfort
Take away my burning tears
You're my only confidante
My only lasting friend
Like my older brother
Protect me once again

Help me with your comfort
I didn't ask for this
Hold me even closer
Heal me with your kiss
My heart belongs to only you
Our souls, they are entwined
So give me the love I'm needing
And I'll pay you back in kind

Tell me it's not my fault
I didn't ask for this
All I wanted from him
Was just a goodnight kiss
But instead he took from me
What I would never give
And this pain wracking my body
Has drained my will to live

So hold me even closer
Hold me while I sleep
And should I wake up crying
Tell me not to weep
Take away the anger
Take away the pain
And as you hold me closely
Tell me you love me again.
