***this is NOT something that happened recently, but it's been in my dreams and I need to get this out of my head. Please forgive the content.

clouded eyes open slowly blinking wearily to clear footsteps in the darkness igniting a frission of fear wrists encased in cording voice gagged and silenced stale alcohol on your breath fortells of pain and violence fingers move over me bruising nails biting into my skin cold steel shredding my clothing rending before you begin forceful penetration asphyxia draining my fight body tensed unwilling unable to end this night teeth marring my shoulder hands at my throat coiled confusion and anger colliding viciously being despoiled at last you finish ravishing my bindings slashed and gone you collapse beside me on our bed thinking again you've won savaged body aching trembling while I weep wishing I had the courage to finally kill you in your sleep

The dark nature of man never ceases to amaze me. I am thankful that you made it through, and have the courage to write about it. Writing can be such a cathartic in some instances. BRAVO!

I can understand. Such powerful poetry can only from the angst in the heart that cannot be expressed to people person to person, except maybe to a few.
Thanks for sharing, and the release that you must heve got from this excellent poem should take you forward in life. Forget cynics.

If this is a true rape then my heart bleeds for you and the inhumanity this person inflicted on you. No one has the right to treat another human like that. I am glad though that you had the strength and great courage to rise above what happened and go on to become the wonderful lady you are. The world would have been deprived of a great deal of heart and passion without you. It must of taken a great deal to relive and write this but know...that you have friends here that care.
