Stretching languidly on
a blanket of grass
watching clouds dance
rythmicly overhead.
White puffs circling
changing, hiding the sun.
A butterfly flutters nearby
the children go chasing,
laughing, golden hair
glinting in filtered
sunlight.
Turn to watch
smiling, time standing
still as a quiet peace
settles over me.
Nothing to do but
lie here immersed in
thoughts, silent reveries
dancing through my mind
like the clouds overhead
twirling like the
laughing children innocently
chasing the butterfly.
Moment to cherish
before it slips by...
Nothing can last
forever.
