I have got to stop writing at 3:00 in the morning...lol

Poem Artwork

Carefully crafted mask
Conceals emotions lurking within
Tired of hiding
Hard to pretend things are ok
When they're not
Nothing is fine
This smile is a lie
Don't feel like laughing
I'd much rather cry
Tired of being the strong one
Don't want to admit
I'm a fake
Maybe I can't do it all
But I have to try
Do it all with a smile
But my smile hurts my face
So I wear this mask
And hide

Most of my best work comes at 3 in the morning. This is excellent, I shall have to keep one or two eyes on you.

Excellent (but concerning) write. Also, picture looks great! People don't realize you drew that I imagine!

A very honest write, Danielle. Thank you for sharing your soul with us, even in the wee hours of the morning.

Keep writing at 3 a.m. This says a lot, very deep. Many can relate to this...and this is not a hidden write, but an honest one,
