This an older write, done about two years ago. Can't get anything to come out tonight so I figured I'd share it with you :) This is hopefully going to be the last poem I post about abuse for a while...I think my "vent" is out of my system now :)
You stand before me raging like some dark angel in a Bible story. Your eyes containing nothing and everything at the same time. Endless energy filling your every word. Words that slipped over me gliding on my skin like cool silk Frightening yet exhilarating and I stare at your eyes while you seethe. Placing your hands on my shoulders I fall against the wall and my mouth is stinging Tears prick my eyes Blue eyes once full of "childish innocence" now grey and weighted with uncertainty. Why is my angel hurting me so carelessly? But you're not mine and never were Like smoke on a breeze any fascination you held for me has vanished in the air. Now you're only Rage The all-encompassing emotion that rules your soul. You stand before me screaming like some demon in a Bible story and I turn and run.

wow... powerful stuff here... so very vivid and truthful... it's like a shadow that follows you wherever you go... sometimes you can master it and step into the light, other times you want to run into the darkness... either way, it's there and so are you... and you're the stronger one...
