I stumble in the dark Searching Wanting Waiting for the haunting memories to be released to find forgiveness for slights from the past to forget everything and leave this night behind I stand alone in silence Weeping Shaking Listening to words long ago spoken echoing from the dark phrases that held no truth yet wounded bloodlessly and remained long after the bruises faded away I fall to my knees Praying Aching Seeing hope shining before me awakening faith long forgotten I reach into that blinding light and grasp a hand blessed with strength that pulls me into the dawn.
