Poem Artwork

Pieces of me
scattered
blowing in the breeze
unable to catch them
they slip away
dancing unnoticed
between lovers
and around children
snagging in the trees
flutter like leaves
sunlight fading them
as I search for all of
 the pieces of me
lost
torn free
and tossed away
with out a care
so long ago
I never knew
I would want them back
someday

Save all the pieces you can - in your head, in your heart, in your words. Beautiful poem in a small space. I love this! -- Jeff

The pieces are still there,
They shan't be cast away,
They dance amid the flowers till
We gather them, in love, one day.

Love, Light, Joy, Peace & Creativity,
Joseph

Danielle, this is a wonderful write. The message here is clear, however, you strike me as woman who always hops back on that horse and is able to gracefully ride out the storm. Excellent work as always.

Introspective write, Danielle; and well-expressed and thus shared. Thank you for this offering to which I can relate very well. Love and peace to you. Regis

Many will relate to this pensive write, Danielle. We moarn our younger selves as we were bright, carefree and living in the moment. I turn around and she seems like another person, as if I had split into two halves. But it wasn't all sweetness and light. So much confusion! With our current wisdom we need to somehow capture some of the wonder...

I can truly feel your pain here Danielle and wish I could reach out and help you in your search, though I can't, I wish you well and hope for your success.

I think we are all torn up and rebuilt from time to time. Wonderful, heartfelt write. And beautiful picture! I don't think I ever saw that one.

Bittersweet the memories we must live with Danielle.
If we only knew we would have made them sweeter;-)
Hindsight! Splendid poem, very moving!
