Even if time could just stand still The rain would come wash everything away Even if you could fade into oblivion Your darkest memories won’t slip away Even if it were true tears heal all wounds I would act the fool just to see you smile Even if words held no rhyme or reason I would be there consoling you in silence Don't run away Stay right here I'll be by your side Sometimes the sunlight can't break through Sometimes our dreams are hard to realize We try and we cry and we scream But it's gonna be ok Just don't run away Tonight Even if you say you don't need me here I've been where you are I understand Even if you push me away I'll be your shoulder be your lover, be anything you need right now Please don't run away just stay right here next to me all night Sometimes the sunlight can't break through Sometimes our dreams are hard to realize We try and we cry and we scream But it's gonna be ok it's ok Just don't run away Tonight It's gonna be ok It's gonna be ok I'll be right here Don't push me away Sometimes the sunlight can't break through... First off, this is beautiful, and better than the first post - which I'm sure you already realize. I am in the industry - just attended a songwriting session today as a matter of fact, so I get a few unique insights. I would say that you need to work on building up to your title line - leave it until one more line of verse melody. Maybe work the ending into finishing up with "Please... oh, please... don't run away." I have a melody I think will work with this. Would love to collaborate with you on this, if it's okay. -- Jeff

Nice lyrics and good composition, last two lines may be hard to fit into a fade out, pretty good overall, do you have a key in mind you are going to do it in

Since you asked;-) first verse I think fade into oblivion, instead of fall...it's hard with no melody, but I think it has good potential...2nd verse try leaving the just off...stay right here
4th verse leave that off... you need right now...those uneccesary words hinder the flow...5th instead of I'll be here all night..next to me all night...just a few suggestions;-)
