I see this place for what
It is, letting no delusions near
My garden’s full of snakes and beasts
Lashing out it hate and fear

The bitterness settles in my chest
No matter how hard I push it back
It’s clipped my wings, I’m grounded
Helpless watching the vicious attack

I want to bring the light in
Let the sunshine through
But you can’t make the blind see
Can’t make a liar speak the truth

The garden’s crumbling and fallen
It’s beauty is fading away
Where’s the kindness that used to linger?
