I sit in the KITCHEN alone
the latest attempt to NURSE my wounds
sitting empty on the table
I followed their DATED ADVICE
allowing the beast within to sleep
but I can feel the malevolence churning
as DARKNESS spreads lonely tendrils
enveloping the night SKY in her sanctity.
The DREAM was real
my DRESS soiled in his essence
lured by a predator's GRACE
the seductive attraction of an ANGELFISH
relentlessly stalking her prey
The beast raises its head once more
the STING of desire overcoming reason
craving his blood like CAFFIENE
needing those soft ROSE petal lips
to turn pale and COLORLESS
I am EMBROILED in its power
in its desires
and I give in
a chilling LAUGH ensuing
gradually fading away
to the howls of a lunatic
as I slip out into the night
