Mayfly Flew Over
A mayfly flew over.
Perched on my finger.
Three seconds you make me wonder.
Off you go as I wander.
Your days may go on no further.
Farewell – and I bid thanks for coming over.
On the night I saw you yonder.
Wish you got me closer.
For in three days I’d see you no longer.
You need not to cry on my shoulder.
Even as I’m feeling walked all over.
Your calm is the beauty you render.
Your white membranous wings shimmer.
Your soul makes me feel tender.
Thus you gave me such healing power!

mayfly has a short life
this may remind us that we are also vulnerable
no matter what, the end could be closer than we think
I enjoyed this poem ,it is unique and well written.
