Back For Good

A person returns, filled with regret and raw emotion, seeking to mend the fractured bond once broken by pride and silence. In their heart, a quiet hope remains that love can heal the wounds and rewrite the story of their shared past.

Back For Good—

I walked away with trembling pride, a storm of words I couldn’t hide. Each step I took, a silent cry, as shadows whispered our goodbyes. I left you standing in the rain, your love behind, my heart in chains. But where there once was laughter’s light, now only silence filled the night. Our tender songs, once soft and sweet, now echo back as hollow beats.

Each lonely night, I felt the ache—the shape of you no time could break. I traced the roads where we once kissed, through whispered dreams, through nights I missed. Regret became my guiding star, its steady light, both near and far. I wandered wide and searched the skies, chasing echoes of your eyes.

Now here I stand, no mask, no guise, with tear-streaked cheeks and open eyes. I crossed the miles, misunderstood, a journey marked by could and should. But now I’ve come, not to pretend, but to rebuild what pride did end. Take my hands, if you still dare, let love rewrite what we once shared.

No turning back, no more goodbye—just you and I beneath the sky. Let the past fall where it may, together, we’ll find our way.
