This poem makes me realize how fortunate we are to live in a country that does not seek to force us to fit someone else's mold but encourages individuality and provides an open forum for us to blossom and do so with pride and a sense of adventure. Well done Suzie!

Suzie this is an expressive write that says so much. Diversity and the world's view on such things as racism, disability acceptance, woman's issues etc is finally at least in my opinion, humble as it may be, starting to finally make progress. I know there are many who will say it has a long way to go and that is true but so much has changed just since I was a boy that like your poem if we keep our hearts open that Sea of Individuality will be a wonderful place one day for all to sail on.
