*The artist within* Has always been Although years have ushered Her away Suppressed and quenched Her artistic bent Creativity ran astray Let logic in To suit, to win The teachers Hold the sway They teach to tell Academics so well Dismissing the very thing That fills our heart With life, with joy That makes us who we are That shines within the light inside Merging to make us a star!

Lovely Suzie, I think you are so right, all too often talented children and young adults put aside their imaginations when belittled by teachers, parents and peers and it is so sad to think how many great artists we may have lost down throught the ages.

Oh, I think my star never did shine all that bright and now it is diminishing so that I'm thinking about getting out the silverware cleaner for a touch up . . . Still, I keep on keeping on . . . Good stuff . . .
