Nature hasn’t got a human heart
The wisdom of this message helps me start
To see the error of emotional haze
The depth of my attachment
Wanting my animals to stay
But, animals are so inherently wise
Moving through life without a disguise
Questioning not, they take life on
And, when it’s time to go
Animals prove so strong
An innate intelligence
Guides their way
They don’t grieve in tune with human dismay
Reminding us of the strife of life
When we demand permanence, we turn off a light
To the truth of existence
And of all our kin
Each moment is a blessing,
We live therein
Change is upon us with every breath
Embracing this flux is such a gift
Nature hasn’t got a human heart
Thinking rationally is a very good start
To reduce the emotion, deduct the haze
Adopt the inclination to live full days
Then let go with all your heart
Observe living and dying on its great flight
Two sides of the same coin
Life and death is
Accepting this is the Ultimate Gift
