Oh, Martin Luther King
you were so wise
even now so many good folk don’t realise
the profundity of your embracing words
your love of humanity, if only more heard
Mourning for thousands of precious lost lives
a commendable task of the soul-realised
refraining from rejoicing in the death of one
is truly great, even if an enemy on the run
Returning hate for hate
deepens the darkness of starless nights
darkness strengthens hate
only Light can turn on the Light
Hate cannot banish hate
only love can claim the prize
of humans living in peace
within a world of brightened skies

Although just discovering that the first line of the above quote was written by an empathetic young American woman, it reveals a wonderful example of how today's minds and minds such as the great Martin Luther King can align so well! Very heartening! Suzie xox :-D
Yes this write says so much about mankind in general...we condemn murder but is the murder of one man sitll not murder for whatever reasons offered?

Like some others, I have mixed emotions on hearing of the death of Bin Laden. He was an evil man, bent on the destruction of America. He was a human being, for whom Jesus Christ died and was resurrected.
It is sad that another human being had to die, yet even David in the bible rejoices in the defeat of his enemies. My conclusion: I'm sorry he would not accept truth and wisdom; I'm glad he is dead.
