Poem Artwork

I love the play of the light on the day
Reflection in ours eyes
Caused by the sun on everyone
Great sun beaconing blue skies

I appreciate that in the light of day
There’s never a question why
The sun freely shines on one and all
Entirely equal in sun’s eyes

I relish the bliss of the sun’s warm kiss
Deeply penetrating beyond our bones
I cherish the kiss from sun ray lips
In the sun, we’re never alone

May we truly see in this light of day
That we reflect in one another’s eyes
May we see each other to make each other’s day
We represent the sun and life is our sky

The Sun...our lifeblood.
....I was particularly drawn to your words as since 1991 I have
had severe SAD...the Sunshine lifts me and us all so much, and for me it raises my mood considerably...
I'm sad to say that here in the UK this morning there is no sign of 'Great sun beaconing blue skies..' I really liked and appreciated your poem Suzie...and I loved the Sun image too....

"The sun freely shines on one and all"
maybe is because the sun has no favourite,
it works as it's ordained to work!
Thanks for sharing, Susie!

Very interesting that you follow John's dark night poem with one of the light and sun. There's a very good reason why, in addition to local gods in their environment, early civilizations worshiped the sun.

You have given the all-encompassing sun its due within the lines of this excellent poem. It's glitter, it's warmth, and it is even more. Without the sun flowers, etc. would wither away and perish. This is fetching poetry.

Thank you Suzie for this lovely gem
A beautiful purification of the sun upon us
as we praise another day
Love & peace be with you

A fine poem evoking the interplay of "life" and the "sky", not to mention the universal sun that shines equally in both our lives and the sky. Thanks for posting. Nice work, Suzie.
