To my gal Eva, my adopted human parents,

and all who care so much about me.

I won’t be going swimming

in my favorite spot down at the creek

At least not for a while

I’m still feeling kinda weak

But I’m getting better everyday

and I’m glad to be back home

Who’s the jerk that claims

that dogs do not have souls

I feel love and I have pride,

I smile, cry and play
