Cupid’s Crime
By: Felix L. Perry
Please do not ask me for what I don’t own
I can only give that which I know is mine
I hope and pray that you will understand
That this heart of mine was trapped in time
When you were not, she was there
She held me then and eased my fear
In time love grew, for I never knew
Cupid never left the slightest clue
Though passions past my hearts still hers
Sealed fate in promises made in another time
So I cannot give to you what I don’t own
The pain we must share is Cupid’’s crime
Great offering Felix!!
Love Tinka
It seems that when one heart is there to comfort us and to ease our pain it is very easy to succumb to that kind heart and put aside another.
