Somewhere I Will Be

          Thinking Of You and Me

I’ll be somewhere on the North Atlantic

When the sun first smiles in your eye

Rolling with the motion of the ocean

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye

We had to catch the early morning tide

My thoughts of you receding out of sight

As the shoreline shrinks away behind me

I wonder where you were last night

Last night I missed the touch of feeling

I missed the smiles we always share

Wondered why I could not find you

Somewhere, somehow to ease my fear

The sea though calls for all my attention

Gulls sing along with the bell buoy’s gong

I will hope that when the tides return me

We’ll share again our dreamer’s song.

there is certainly a draw to the sea-i understand that just as horses have strong pull for many females, the sea is that for men--one should write a book on that subject as there are a couple very good tributes to women and horses...anyway--i enjoyed the write

on time, in Pensacolla Bay, I saw a white channel marker... couldn't figure out what it meant, nowhere on my charts said anything about a white bouy. But as I got close enough to see, It actually was green, but had been a pelican roost for so long it had been pooped to white....LOL

Felix, this is one of the most beautiful writes you have done, another one that lets others read more then what is written. I hope you do get to share your dreamers song. Have a wonderful day.

Powerful, yet melancholy.

I hope this was poetic license and not a personal reflection. BUT, if it was, I like that you'll again share the dreamer's song.
