Just a song that came to me upon awakening this morning...not perfect but all mine...

Walking, Talking Broken Heart

By: Fee

G

Scattered bones of last nights KFC

C

Empty rum bottle at his knee

D7                      C                          G

Four days beard says he just don’t care

Guitar stained from cigarette smoke

Not to mention one too many tokes

Four days gone since she wasn’t there

Spending nights playing the blues

Close to the phone waiting for news

Starts his day wishing she was there

G

He’s just a walking, talking broken heart

C

Since she just they had to part

D

He just don’t know where to start

C                                   D                         G

Just another walking, talking broken heart

Shakes the cobwebs from his head

Falls into their unmade bed

Add a few more tearstains to the score

Exhaustion takes him for a ride

Where he can salvage his wounded pride

All he hears is just her slamming door

Dreams once more of things like holding hands

Things nobody else understands

Lost his mind and heart forever more

Sounds like the one evening of mine in Mallorca, then I wrote, perhaps I was hearing the twang of that guitar calling me...

The lonely voice in this song comes through loud and clear. Sad, yet realistic. Love and Hugs,

(((Fee))),

Anytime you wake up with words/melody, pen them, sing them, play them - they usually are winners - as this one is - well done -
