All too often we judge people too quickly when they don't fit the ideal mold we think they should...I was sent to a Religious school when I was very young, one of nine kids from a poor family. We were ridiculed and made fun of daily by our teachers until eventually we were forced to leave.

Tiny Teardrops from Angels

By: Fee

Tiny teardrops were ther answer

to the question asked of her

Tiny teardrops like little jewels

They slowly fell to the floor

She didn’t know the answer

That the mean teacher posed

He smirked at the little girl

In her hand me down clothes

This little child was his victim

because her parents were poor

He would taunt and torment her

Each day a more and more

And her teardrops would flow

Her little heart ached you know

Yet her parents taught her respect

So she never let her anger show

Then in detention one day

There came a sign from above

That little girl became an angel

Like a sweet omen of love

That cruel man kept her late

Then he passed out on the floor

That mean streak he cherished

Made his heart weak for sure

The little girl didn’t panic

She called for help right away

Then gave CPR to the cruel teacher

And his pending death did delay

The little girl saved his life

That’s what the doctors did say

Tiny teardrops were his answer

For a dept he could never repay...

Awesome. When I was in first grade the teacher would ask us if we had attended church on Sunday. My mother had just delivered her fifth child and we had just moved. So I had to stand up and explain why my family didn't make it to church. It was painful and way beyond my control. I never thought to lie. Wonderful poem. Liz

I agree Fee. How many times this happens to innocent children. People are so fast to judge and ridicule others. An excellent write.

Such sweet innocence, forgiving without a second thought, oh if we could all be as children...

"If your enemy is hungry, feed him, for in doing so you will heap burning coals upon his head...Romans...
Not literal coals, but the burning heat of conscience...
wonderful as always Fee, I am sure I come here to read you.
Still can't think of anything to write again.

A very touching poem, and a wonderful ending. I think some people embrace being miserable. A guy I work with is miserable to people for no good reason. He needs to read poetry like this! Hugs~

Fee, quite a tender story which a few here in AD will remember all too well, bullies don't come only from your peers, but when they come from the ones that should protect...well, sometimes God gets mad at them too.

what a beautiful story and poem--no one has a right to treat another in such a manner--i am sorry that you were treated badly--there are those who should never teach children

oh my!!...goodness!!!....I so feel this passionate write
I too was ridiculed & it is a terrrible feeling to be the outcast
your words speak from the other side & there is always another side....paths are never a one way street
people that are cruel to children have serious issues within themsleves.....they are adults destroyed in their hearts of pain....
but your last verse really spells it out for that teacher.
May Love Always Embrace You Fee

Very touching, Fee ~ what might we all aspire to if we could only retain the heart of a child.
