I had a little girl come to see me the other night who said for Christmas she wanted a four leaf clover so she could catch a unicorn...I guess that was what started my mind on the path to this creation...

The Unicorn’s Ballad

By: Fee

Upon the full moon of harvest gold

The young farmer Fillipe boldly strode

To ask the hand of his love’s desire

So far away down Kingdom’s Road

At the castle keep he bent on knee

To beg for Princess Micherie’s hand to wed

The King laughed with scorn and said begone

You’ll not have my daughter for your bed

Ah, but love is strong when hearts unite

Micherie often snuck from the Castle keep

To kiss the young man of Notting’s Wood

Where they’d first fell in love so deep

Aye, but King’s have eyes in forest trees

At least that’s what I have heard say

Tis true , for those eyes for the King condemned

Who swore his vengeance on Fillipe that day

Aye twas the Royal Guards in crimson red

Who retrieved the Princess for the King

Who then called for the sorcerer’s evil tongue

For her King a curse she’d gladly bring

Now some say they see broken hearted Princess

But sadly no one of her Phillipe dare to talk

Some say though on a quiet eve in Notting’s Wood

Micherie speaks lovingly to a pure white Unicorn

As side by side beneath the Harvest moon they walk…

A story so beautifully told. My oldest daughter had a fondness for Unicorns when she was very little. We even managed to build up quite a collection for her too as she grew. Guess it is the magican aura that lures us in...

Be always safe

Ode to the Knight Bard which has told us such an enchanted tale, although, I, being the owner of not one but two four leaf clovers, never saw in the sorcerer forest a Unicorn!
