Felix, this is indeed a most beautiful expression of one tossed aside by his lover -- "insincere kisses with a liar's embrace" is a powerful line for me -- peace and love-- Jon Michael
"no tremors of grief nor storms of rage nay not even bitterness you turned the page,"....sometimes it's the silence, the indifference, that's far worse than any storm. Written so well, Fee.
you capture these emotions quite affectively, Felix ... being adrift alone in limbo, being stripped of what we once had, leaves us as a migrant of the heart ...
So sad yet romantic, but after reading your lovely poem, I felt the bliss of solitude in that boat...loving to be "adrift" and re-discovering myself. Not cold but free.
Sweetness, Fee, a dangled carrot of love and then taken back. It is such a sad truth. Some people have love with conditions. That is not the way I would live my life for sure!
Much peace, love, and light,

Ah I remember it well, yet blessed because I feel "pretty much" :-) complete as I am. Course it will be even better when I am able to get a sweet furry companion again :-)
All is to me like to be in a boat, up the creek, without a paddle.
Love sometimes sucks! is not that so brother?
I wouldn't put that delicate and perfect as you do, but that's me.
you have chosen such an apposite analogy for this feeling of immobilisation or powerlessness, Felix. The clarity of your thought and starkness of your words are penetrating. If there are those who are blessed enough never to have experienced this kind of abandonment, then they will certainly be made to do so through your acute capture. You have a natural gift of being able to tell it like it is, such that it then lives on in the experience of your reader. Indifference is a choker. Bless you, Pops xx
Edward Rutherford is prepared to do just about anything to escape an arranged marriage to a woman he despises. But his brilliant plan to feign insanity has some rather unwanted consequences...

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
This is one of those poems I wish I'd written. The word "adrift" describes the feeling about what remains after so very well.
Hugs,
Marcia
