It always amazes me when we forget how much beauty we have around us then all of a sudden such a simple thing as a cloud drifting by can reopen our eyes to the magic...

Poem Artwork

Madame N’s Gallery

By: Felix L. Perry

The morning whirls and twirls of meringue clouds

With soft smudged edges like painted abstract art

The sun rising as a natural spotlight shifting shapes

Welcome to Madame N’s personal gallery “a la cart”

A cobalt lake, a jade stream, a blue-gray mountain peak

She’s presented them so perfectly for of us to see and feel

No Soho gallery art show, but it’s priceless all the same

This living art that Madame N offers us so pure and real

She may paint the clouds in shifting shades of ebon black

Adding special affects to highlight the drama of the sea

A slash or two of lighting may spice up the ennui of day

Thus creating subtle little hints of life’s surreal mystery

Then the setting sun will bring her last few brushstrokes

Swatches of pastel shades of purple, orange and red

Contented Madame N folds up her easel and her paints

She’s dabbed on the stars and a full moon overhead

She’s created her piece de resistance, her very best

You…the perfect woman laying naked on my bed…

How romantic you can be, a true lover to the end, to the extent of not drawing in the curtains of your window so we could see her, reposing there!
