I spoke to a friend the other day who told me they had fallen in love. They had always been skeptical about love and falling in love so their words inspired this work...

Found Love

I have wandered years and miles of emptiness

Traveled romance’s dusty trails far from home

Felt that love was just another silly pipe dream

I let my heart become chilled accepting alone

Then I looked into the smiling face of a miracle

It was like someone hit the brakes on a train

Found the magic of love that I once dreamed of

When you promised me that you felt the same

Now each day I’m on clouds blowing sweet kisses

Dreaming of things that I pray will come true

I’ve willingly surrendered my heart completely

Just hoping that you feel the same way too…

It's wonderful to hear that one so skeptical of love has, indeed, fallen in love. Great inspiration for a poet and this is just lovely. Nicely done! ~Elizabeth
