Meet me in the woods by the meadow

Where in summer we watched fireflies

Bundle up in a warm coat and mit…tens

I promise you warm kisses and sighs

Meet me as the snow frames our smiles

We’ll build a snowman, no make it two

We’ll build one with smile a foot long

For the other holding his hand, will be you

Meet me where the evergreens whisper

dressed in gowns trimmed in white ice

we'll watch the rabbits play hide and seek

with the birds and the tiny field mice

Meet me to catch snowflakes on our tongues

Then sample our catch with each kiss

No way will we feel the cold North wind

For we’d be sharing our true Christmas wish 

Meet me and we’ll stop and rest for a while

From summer’s lawn chairs clear the snow

We’ll just sit quietly talking for hours
