Life may not always allow us the luxury of all we desire but to love and be loved is truly a gift from God...

Poem Artwork

Carried Away

An angry sky warning of winter ahead
The beach grass swaying to silent song
Weary clouds compete with a lazy sun
Mind drifts off to where I truly belong

My collar up against early morning chill
Procrastinating geese southward bound
Dreamily wish that I too had wings to fly
To your arms I’d soar above the ground

Needless tears to wipe from loving eyes
An image reawakens in my sleeping soul
Your love, my strength in times of need
I feel you walk with me and I am whole

Reciprocated love means never having to walk alone... but there is agony in the not being able to be physically together!! You have beautifully expressed the bittersweet heartache of both here, Felix. So visual, reckon there's a crowd of us who FEEL like we're right there beside you, anyways! But hellyeah, I know... even three's a crowd in this instance!! :)) xx

One can read this two ways: speaking to a lover and speaking to God. Either way, the love is heartfelt and deep. Beautiful piece, Fee. ~Elizabeth
