By the brush of my quest for love
my life has been painted
with all the color of the good within me
that the evil all around me has tainted.
On the canvas of the world
now lies the pleasure of every joy I've ever known,
the fear of every lonliness
thats ever caused me to complain,
my tears for every disappointment
that has left it's stain,
the sorrow
of the loss of every true love
that has ever looked the other way,
the plan behind every insurrection
that has caused me pain.

WoW, i love it, perfect metaphor for the meaning of the poem.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
