That part of us that loves
is too easily influenced by hate
Yet the part of us that hates
can seldom even be touched by our love.
That part of us that cares
is allways overuled by our selfishness
yet the selfish part of us
never seems to care.
That part of us that wants
though we try, we can never deny
That part of us that hopes
is all that remains constant
yet we can never hold onto it for long.

It is true, humanity is full of contradictions, that's the beauty of being human, to be able to be many things and still... be.
This is a powerful write. Eloquently styled. Graceful, yet dramatic in its simplicity. :)
Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
Regardless of where you may be found in love this beautiful masterpiece can be
