When your heart was yours and my heart was mine

I long to wander,
back to the time
of our innocence,
when all we cared about was happiness
and all we loved was joy.
I long to hold you,
when your heart
was new,
and you had a faith
nothing in this world could destroy.
before we knew the emptiness
the pain of this life can employ,
before we were forced
to touch the sorrow.
I long to wander,
back to the time
when your heart was yours,
and my heart was mine.

'I long to wander,

Beautiful heartfelt poem Pierre! Maybe the longing to wander back to our innocence is a yearning fit for all! It may even be our destiny...!
