To the silence

To the silence
I belong.
In between the words
of a lonely song.
To the truth alone
I'm endeared.
surrounded by the sounds
no one wants to hear.
With the sorrows of the world
I'm entwined,
Because,
I can't be anything less than kind.
With those in love and loss
I side.
In their hollow places
my fear can hide.
Let me live
in their scattered peace,
and die in their burdened agony,
only then may my soul be free.
