My poems are the children of my soul their words the offspring of my heart conceived within my sorrow born of the suffring my life has oft times been they struggle and they strain in the hope that they can contain just a fragment of the love and compassion they were written with. Confused in what they offer only longing to retain a place in the mind of the reader a space of safety on the pages of our destruction a final effort our humanity to regain.� Copyright 2006 Pierre Ortega
