The Delicate monsters
that perpetrate our destruction
hide within the minds of children
and flourish in their empty souls
trapped within the boundaries of youth.

Their Weary apparitions
find life in virgin hearts
longing to be filled
by the joy of love or the power of hate

Holy demons
that can only rest
within the confines of innocence
waiting to wake and strike
our happiness and freedom
to beat them down
in their hour of glory.

Such delicate monsters
survive the war of our growing
against our wishes
to take haven within us all.

Lost in the depths of our own distruction. Confussed by the triangle of good, evil, and sociaty. Our innocents or only lost if we let the child in us be distroyed. Peter Pan is a great example of this fathem.

I think I shall simply echo Michelle's take on this as it is what I was going to express about recapturing the hopeful innocence of childhood. That is why I don't take it as an insult when someone tells me that I never grew up even though they do not mean it as a compliment. Thought-inciting offering, Pierre. Thank you for sharing it. Love and peace,

Regis

Yes, these delicate monsters are hard to escape, but they can be if we take back the innocence of seeing the world through a child's eyes. Excellent.

All children were born of innocence...until circumstances and people see them as guilty...
